In addition, Dell emits only drivers (on current models) if the unit does not respond to published specifications (which would include a known problem). With the E510 is a 'mature' product (is no longer produced), what you see is the latest version of the driver (for any device) that Dell will never issue. There is a Codec IDT update Microsoft update last year "pushed out" and if it was installed caused several different audio problems, and unfortunately the ONLY way to fix it was a system restore to a date prior to the installation or a complete reinstallation - nothing else we found would fix the noise if the update of the IDT Codec has been applied. What kind of problems you have with the audio? I can be able to help. If you try to use other providers SigmaTel drivers or pilots IDT latest either they won't work properly or not at all. SigmaTel drivers on Dell downloads must be only used with our 510's. I can't seem to be able to find the drivers updated to installed originally audio CODEC on my Dimension E510 - Dell giving no info and IDT, just original manufacturer keeps referring me to Dell. IDT High Definition Audio CODEC does not properly
